ATI Performance Products, Inc. is proud to introduce our newest Lightweight Steel High Gear Drum Assembly for Powerglide Transmissions – Part #205648. This new Drum assembly is 8.6 LBS complete and nearly a pound lighter than a direct OEM copy or original unit. Less weight allows for quicker acceleration and less impact on clutches as the drum accelerates from stopped to engine RPM on the first to second gear change. The drum features increased surface area for enhanced durability and comes complete with a Teflon bushing and check ball installed. The kit includes a complete drum assembly that is ready to be installed. It includes clutches, steels, piston, new springs, retainer and snap ring as well as a 19-spline clutch hub, and flange gear snap ring.
