ATI’s JC Beattie Jr. kicked off the 2026 PDRA season in dominant fashion, capturing back-to-back Pro 632 victories at the Carolina Nationals and East Coast Nationals!
Beattie secured his first career No. 1 qualifying position at Carolina Nationals at Darlington Dragway with an impressive 4.127-second pass at 172.55 mph. He carried that momentum into eliminations, earning his first Pro 632 win over Jeff Pittman with a 4.117-second run at 172.72 mph in the final round.
After qualifying #2 at the PDRA East Coast Nationals at Darana Motorsports Park, JC extended his win streak with four more round wins and capped off the weekend with a 4.170 at 170.17 mph in the final, taking the victory after David Cook Jr. went red.
Competing with a full lineup of ATI Performance Products components—including an ATI Outlaw Transmission, Bolt Together Outlaw Converter, Modular Timing Wheel Super Damper, Flexplate, and Super F ATF—Beattie demonstrated both consistency and performance at the highest level of PDRA competition. At ATI we truly "Race what we Sell"!
“We’ve been around 632, paid our dues running with an N/A motor, and last year we just had stupid stuff go wrong while learning the car,” Beattie said. “We have maybe 60 runs on this car now between racing and testing, and it’s still a little bit of a work in progress. But we’ve got a great tuner, Dave Hanlon and we’ve got a great motor from Reher-Morrison. We have Todd at the shop making and putting everything together for us, along with Scott who also comes racing with us. I have to thank the rest of the guys in the shop as well, doing the transmissions, converters, and getting parts pack and forth in the trailer for us or for customers. I’m always grabbing them and moving them all over the place to get racecar stuff done. Finally everything just came together and we have two 660 Men to show for it along with the best appearing crew for the weekend! Pretty hard to imagine a better weekend" said Beattie.
Beattie now sits atop the Pro 632 standings and is looking to carry that momentum through to the next round on the PDRA schedule at Virginia Motorsports Park. |
