JC Beattie takes two wins
in one night at the MIR HEMI Shootout in ATI's
Drag Pak Challenger. |
ATI's Chief Operating Officer, JC Beattie Jr, had
a great weekend behind the wheel of his Drag Pak Challenger
#047. The Shop Hemi and Modern Street Hemi groups put
on a special event during the NMCA MIR races this past
weekend. There were various dial indexes for late model
Hemi's ranging from 9.5 to 15 seconds, so there was
a class for everyone. The ATI Performance Products Drag
Pak fell into the Nitrous Outlet Unlimited class this
year running against other late model Hemi's with turbos,
superchargers and lots of spray!
The Drag Pak was able to qualify number two at a 9.92
behind the Arrington Challenger, which ran a killer
9.69. However, when the final round ended the ATI Challenger
stood in the winner's circle. Later that night, the
other 3 class winners all raced in an Index style format
for "King of the Hill" honors where Beattie
and his Challenger were able to snag a second win. Two
wins in one night for the ATI Drag Pak set the goals
for the season.
The ATI Drag Pak Challenger runs a Gary Stanton Racing
built 370ci Hemi motor in legal NHRA Stocker trim, with
Fuel Injection via AEM and Devin Pearce. The Challenger
is equipped with an ATI 8" Treemaster MRT converter
and ATI built Ultra Lightweight Competition 904 Transmission
using new Super F synthetic fluid. Of course there is
a Super Damper on the front and the ATI custom Drag
Pak Starter as well. JC and the Challenger get great
support from Moser rear ends, Moroso, Racepak, Manley,
Mark Williams drive shafts, Rinehart's Performance,
MPR Racecars, XS Batteries and Joe Gibbs Driven lubricants.
Thanks to everyone for the help!
