ATI is proud to introduce its new SFI 29.1, 164 tooth
flexplate for Ford Modular Motors. ATI flexplates have
long been known for superior strength, concentricity
and balance. This yields a high-quality, long-lasting
flexplate for big inch and high compression motors.
The starter pinion must be changed for proper tooth
mesh.
All ATI Flexplates are true flexplates-not billets that
do not flex. No OEM utilizes a billet flexpate on a
converter--not BMW, not Bentley, not Ferarri--no one
can machine blocks, cranks and transmission cases to
zero tolerance, thus the need for a flexplate to make
up the differences. This unit is created from custom
stamped SFI-spec 29.1 and 29.2 Chromoly steel and is
double MIG/TIG welded for additional strength. Each
plate is quality inspected to exceed the flatness and
run-out tolerances of the OEM units.
