DEAN MARINIS WINS THE $10K SPRING
OUTLAW CIVIL WARS AT ROCKINGHAM!
Congratulations to X275 racer Dean Marinis,
winner of the $10k Spring Outlaw Civil Wars at Rockingham
Dragway in NC. Dean had the low ET on Friday and qualified
#1 with a 4.811 @ 153.18 MPH. Fellow ATI racers made the
Top-10 with Rich Bruder taking 3rd with a 4.834 @ 138.22
MPH and Al Marlow taking 9th with a 4.938 @ 147.47 MPH.
Prior to the event, Dean had installed ATI's new lightweight
Billet Aluminum pro-brake that allowed him to cut consistant
.05X lights all weekend: .056, .052, .054, .051! In the
final elimination round, Dean got the holeshot with a
.051 RT to Barry Mitchell's .129, and took the win with
a 4.817 @ 153.16 MPH pass! In addition to the new ATI
pro-brake, Dean runs ATI's Superglide
2 transmission, Outlaw
Torque Converter, Super
Damper and Super
F Synthetic Transmission fluid!
