Congratulations to ATI's Chris Rini for his amazing win
at the Pro Mod showdown this past weekend at the famed
House of Hook. Chris and crew took his ATI Superglide
4 Transmission & Outlaw Converter equipped '69 Bickel
Pro Mod Camaro up against the nations top converter driven
competitors. Rini took to the track on Friday and put
down an impressive 3.905 @ 187.40 mph pass in the morning
shakedown. After qualifying 7th with a 3.987 pass, Rini
went on to beat Dewayne Silance in the semi finals to
advance to the final. The final round featured two cars
running ATI's Outlaw Converter, and it was Rini who edged
out the win with a 3.91 @ 185 over ADRL's Doug Riesterer's
pass of 3.94 @185! With the cash on the line, the 2010
NMCA Pro Street champ went home with the "Winner
Take All" purse money! Congrats to Chris, and his
entire ATI Performance Products, Inc Team. A true OEM
style Automatic and Torque Converter was first to the
finish yet again!
Rini would like to thank all the help from his major
sponsor of ATI Performance Products for building a great
Superglide-4 Transmission and Converter. Buck Racing
Engines for the long hours getting this motor in tip
top shape, Kooks Racing Headers "best headers in
the market", Jerry Bickle for the best race car
in the industry, Baskin Truck Sales, Car Quest, XS Power,
GRP Rods, Ross Pistons, VP Fuel, CFM Carburators, Speedtech
Nitrous, Goodyear & Hoosier (we love both tires).
The crew did an incredible job with Scott Cozzali leading
the charge and the tons of great hands helping through
the weekend with George Rumores (Kooks Sales Manager),
Anthony Mattina, Ron, Vergotz team (Kevin loves to get
dirty) and our "Hero" Milt Decker for some
last minute advice.
